Manhattan Beach, CA-July 30, 2015– Merit Real Estate and Redondo Mortgage Center helped sponsor one of the biggest summer events to ever hit the South Bay. As part of the International Surf Festival, the Charlie Saikley Beach Volleyball Tournament took place last Thursday and Friday and competing for the prize was Merit official sponsored team- Team Tank! Nine beach volleyball players from Santa Barbara to San Diego comprised Team Tank and were led by team captain, Eric Varney, 2012 MIVA Conference Champion and NCAA Division 1 National Semifinalist in Men’s Volleyball. Team Tank hit the sand first against Rockstar Silver in the first round. Four games into the tournament, Team Tank came up short, just one round before the semifinals! “We are definitely planning on coming back next year” mentioned team captain Eric Varney. Although it was a loss for Team Tank, it was a victory to the thousands of beach goers. Merit Real Estate and Redondo Mortgage Center handed out tons of giveaways, from t-shirts, visors, to beach umbrellas and footballs!
Merit Real Estate will hit the sand again this week for the Manhattan Beach AVP opening, officially sponsoring Jenny Kropp-Goess and Nicole Branagh! The AVP opening is on Thursday, August 13, 2015. Make sure to make it out!
