Best South Bay Take Out Restaurants

There is no doubt the effects of the COVID 19 pandemic have greatly changed our world. One major change caused by the pandemic is the way we dine. With indoor dining prohibited and outdoor dining being limited, take-out is the new king. Our Merit Real Estate team orders take-out from local South Bay restaurants 5 days a week. We have found some really awesome take-out restaurants in our area surrounding North Redondo Beach. Here are some of our favorite take-out spots in South Bay.

King Mediterrano

This take-out spot is one of our favorites because the food is consistently amazing and the portions are generous. A few of our top selections are the Chicken Kebob Plate and the Gyro Plate. The Mediterranean-loaded fries with gyro meat get an honorable mention as well.  Pretty much everything at King Mediterano is delicious.

Ensenada’s Surf N’ Turf Grill

Formerly “Baja California Fish Tacos“, Ensenada is serving up some of the best take-out mariscos in South Bay. There are now three locations to choose from. There are usually lines out the door at lunchtime, but they move pretty efficiently. You have to try the fish tacos and the Campachana! Everything here is yummy. Ensenada’s Surf N’ Turf Grill also offers up some great specials on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.

Fyrebird

Are you craving fried chicken or chicken tenders? Fyrebird has you covered with some of the tastiest wings and tenders in South Bay. This top spot in Gardena offers wings, sandwiches, sliders, fries, tenders, salads, fried pickles, and more. The flavor possibilities are plentiful as well. Fyrebird brings the flavor with 13 different sauce options! Some of our faves are Garlic Habanero and Lemon Pepper. Check this local wing spot out the next time you have a craving.

Saigon Dish

Saigon Dish is yet another ‘hidden gem’ in Lawndale. They are serving up some of the best Vietnamese fare in the area. We recently put this one in our heavy rotation for lunch choices.  The food is authentic, fresh, and well portioned. We recommend ordering the Pho (any of them) and the Hu Tieu Xao Kieu Thai. The latter is similar to Pad Thai but way better! Their menu is vast and somewhat overwhelming, but the good news is that we haven’t come across any bad dishes yet.

Lucky Bamboo Kitchen

Lawndale is full of awesome take-out restaurants. Here is yet another. Lucky Bamboo Kitchen is a small “mom & pop” Chinese take-out restaurant that serves up fresh food and huge portions. Their prices are very reasonable. Another thing that makes Lucky Bamboo awesome is that they are super nice and friendly. All the food is great, but our favorite dishes include the Hot & Sour Soup, any of the fried rice, Mongolian Beef, and the Kung Pao Chicken.
